Last week in Te Ngahere we were identifying our next maths goals. Our WALT was to identify what we have achieved in Maths. We were given a brand new Ican sheet and we had to pick the goals we needed and wanted to learn. I chose these goals because I want to extend my learning so that I can get to the National Standards. I will try my best!
I am a student at Bay of Islands College in Kawakawa, New Zealand. This is a place where I share my learning.

My Report Writing, Term 3
This term in Te Ngahere we have been learning about Informational reports. Our WALT was: Write an informational report. We first had to know the structure: Our plan, Title, Introduction, 3 sub topics, and our closing. When we started writing we used the words, ‘I, Me and this’. These are all Pronouns.

Comon nouns and Proper Nouns
COMMON NOUNS AND PROPER NOUNS! ^-^
Last week in Te Ngahere we were learning to use Common nouns and proper nouns in our writing, and we all had to attend a whole class workshop because some of us did not use these two things in our writing. We had to be in a group of 2 or 3 and figure out what proper nouns and common nouns are and we had to use pictures to try and explain.

My Writing Goals.
Last week Te Ngahere started to make a Google Drawing about/ around the stuff we needed to learn for Writing. When we were finished we had to show Whaea Chrissy or Mrs Pou our goals and when they were done we had to make a google drawing about it. The part I liked was that at first we had to do it on a Google slide because we had to proof read it.

Having fun at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds.
On Tuesday the whole of Paihia school went to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and we had an awesome time!. We planted tree’s, wove kites and played some games. The people at the treaty grounds were very nice and willing to help. My favourite thing to do at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds was playing Maui,Matou and Ki Waenganui (Maui means Left, Matou means right and Ki Waenganui).
. At some point I would like to take Mum and Alucius ( my brother) to the Treaty Grounds and hope they have a great. Some of the trees we planted were: Nikau and some other plants that I can’t remember what they are.
Taleisha and Lucy are in the process of weaving a Kite. When they are done they will fly their Kite to see how far it will go.
